Rachel Sutton

Based in Ottawa, Rachel Sutton works at the Pembina Institute as a Senior Policy Analyst on their Buildings team. Her work focuses on building decarbonization and improving building resiliency in the face of increasing extreme weather events. Rachel previously worked as an Advisor to the federal Minister of Industry, Science, and Innovation on the files of industrial decarbonization and clean technology advancement, supporting projects such as expanding Canada's electric vehicle supply chain and decarbonization of the cement industry. She also worked for the Minister of Women and Gender Equality and Youth and on several political campaigns. She studied Environmental Science at the University of Toronto and Law at the University of Sussex.
