Kate grew up in Ottawa (Anishinabe and Algonquin territory) engaging in local and global social justice movements. This continued when she completed her B.A. (Hon) in International Development and Political Science at the University of King’s College and Dalhousie University in Halifax (Mi'kma'ki). She now brings a deep commitment to equity and community-driven change, focusing on food security and inclusive climate communications. Kate has contributed to national and international forums on climate justice, having attended COP28 as an Observer and COP29 with ECCC. She is a curious, passionate and tenacious person whose passionate about playful collaboration. When not working, you can find Kate planning her next adventure, swimming, reading, or learning how to cook a new recipe to feed her friends.
