Lindsay Winters

Lunenberg, ON

Lindsay Winters (she/her) is an environmental advocate from the small town of Lunenburg, Ontario, on the traditional unceded territory of the Anishinaabe people, and treaty lands of the Haudenosaunee. Lindsay is a recent graduate of Carleton University's Global and International Studies program and she is passionate about environmental policy from the local to global levels.

In her home township of South Stormont, Lindsay is a founding youth member of their Environmental Action Committee, which advocates for and implements community-focused climate solutions. She hopes that her hands-on experience from the Committee, planting trees in northern Canada, and working as a provincial park ranger will bring a unique perspective to her position at Port Hope Municipality.

Throughout her internship, Lindsay hopes to develop her networking skills and contribute to lasting environmental progress in the community.
