Michaela (she/her) was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Anisininewuk, Ininiwak, Dakota Oyate, Dene, and the Homeland of the Red River Métis Nation.
She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Honours) from the University of Manitoba as well as a Master of Science in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Ottawa. Her academic research has focused on the potential impacts of a naturalized sport fish on food webs as its range expands, as well as the landscape of science communication in Canada.
Michaela hopes to make meaningful contributions to the Town of Stonewall’s environment and climate-related initiatives.
