Michelle Angkasa (she/they) is a first-generation Chinese-Indonesian immigrant who grew up in Mississauga, ON. Michelle has been a lifelong environmentalist, which led her to pursue an undergraduate degree in Environment and Business from the University of Waterloo. As a student organizer, Michelle has been active in the climate justice movement since 2019, leading and supporting campaigns for a Canadian Green New Deal, divestment, public transit, and more. Michelle has also worked in a variety of sustainability-focused roles across the private, public, and educational sectors. They are passionate about harnessing the power of youth engagement and political advocacy to achieve a just and climate-safe future for all.
